Thanks
wrong forum, but you're gonna have a very hard time with a 17 MCAT, no matter what your GPA is. That's a pretty terrible score.

Don't listen to know it all Slevit. While 17 is low your GPA is good. I know people who got in with low MCATs. I myself had a terrible score and now I'm on top so go ahead and apply. Give it a shot. 75$ is all you gotta loose.

I didn't say not to apply...i just said that it's a very low score, well below average, and it would be difficult. Perhaps you'd rather AUC just let anyone in that applies and have no standards? A lot of good that'll do for caribbean schools' reputation.

I'm sorry if the truth hurts...i don't care if it does, but I can empathize.

Just make sure if they ask you about your MCAT score you have an elaborate story created about how you were orignally scoring very well on practice exams and then something prevented you from scoring a similar score on the MCAT. I recommend an elaborate story involving a rollerblading delivery boy listening to headphones as he carelessly rode in front of your car causing you to crash the car. The same car you had been looking after for a teacher, so to pay for this car you had to work at a fast food restaurant that just so happened to employ the same burger delivery boy that caused your accident in the first place....oh wait that was the start of the movie Good Burger.

Defer until september

pretty sure this got asked already but here goes.

Got accepted to may 2008 class, already paid the 1500 bucks. I know you have to submit a written statement and pay 500 bucks to defer till september, but how hard is it? Does anyone know if they give you any guff for wanting to defer? is there a deadline?
