first of all....AUC is NOT on US territory whatsoever. second, LCME is only given to medical schools in the US and canada. last time i checked puerto rico was a territory of the United States. third, i wouldn't worry about some retroactive situation like you are describing since it clearly states that LCME accredits allopathic schools in the US and canada.

1) SXM is in dutch territory, owned by Holland! US has no claim here whatsoever. 2) There is no big 5 - SMU is not there, ever. SMU doesn't have 50 state approval, Saba doesn't have US federal loans 3) We're not going to get LCME accreditation, so don't worry about it. They only deal with US and Canadian allopathic schools 4) Even if it did get LCME accreditation, which it won't, you would still not have graduated from here when it had it, so it wouldn't apply to you. Similar to how even if SMU got CA approval, students who already graduated from there still wouldn't be able to get licensed in Cali. 5) Once you've got your residency, there's no more red tape. ECFMG isn't involved at that point. You will never be a US allopathic graduate, because AUC is not in the US, or even close. You will, however, be an MD, which is all that matters once you get your residency. hahahaha..."US soil".....boy do I wish!

Ohh wait there is a French side too. I know what you mean by leaving them out. The school sits on the Dutch side and that's all that really matters.

I think I meant to write "AUC" though, not "SXM."
