I'm flying down on the 26th for a few days before moving into the dorms. This was probably answered somewhere but I haven't seen it, or probably just missed it. Will the school hold onto books shipped to St. Maarten from the online bookstore? Or is it better to ship to four star cargo and then have them ship to the island?

if you order it through the online bookstore, it will be waiting for you where you get notes on campus. they won't send it back or anything if you arent there immediately...this is the island after all

Just a quick update: just got my 'receipt' for the deposit paid for room and board yesterday (April 12, 2008). It was a one pager saying they received the payment, contact information in case I want to call, and reminder that our room assignments will be assigned 2 weeks prior to class.

Hey Everybody,

I will be arriving on the island the 29th and I was wondering if there were any decent photographers out there willing to make a few extra bucks before classes start. ($50 USD) I just got engaged a few weeks back and my fiancee is going to be down on the island with me before classes start. We are trying to arrange some engagement pictures, but as you can guess they are all extremely expensive and as a new medical student, that's the last thing I have, extra money. So if you're interested, let me know.
