Yes, you can. Most people run it through a Brita, but you won't die if you don't.

Adding another measly post to my count by saying what has been iterated many times before on this forum:

Waiting for MEAS to contact you with a decision is torturous...

(Thursday will be three weeks....)

So is May 5th an orientation or the start of classes or both for the upcoming first semesters?

Also I'll be coming up with my parents and sister a week early. Any advice on decent hotels to stay in, places to eat and whatnot? Plus, around when will we be allowed to move in to the dorms (Sorry if this was already answered).

May 4th is registration, May 5th is orientation, May 6th will be your first day of class.

The Sonesta Maho is probably the most reasonable decent place to stay. The Summit is closer to campus (walking distance) and maybe a couple dollars cheaper, but The Sonesta is a lot nicer. The Summit is more of a motel than a hotel. I saw somewhere the date that you could get into the dorms, but i don't remember it now. I want to say it was the monday before classes began, but I'll check.

According to my admissions advisor, we can move in to the dorms starting April 28th.... I'm giving them a day to account for "SXM time" and will be flying in on the 29th
