I have been a cop in California for the last six years, but decided on a career change. My early days in college killed me as I currently have a 2.8. With a little more maturity and discipline I have been back to school and have gotten all A's and B's as I finish my undergrad. I just finished my application for AUC and am hoping my 32o on the MCAT gets me in for Fall 2008. Hope to see you guys there!

I'm in the same boat as you, I have been in the Army for the last 4 years, although your MCAT is much better. What is your overall GPA now?

They do take life experience into account and your upward trend in grades does count for a lot. Get some solid LORs and a good personal statement and you have a good shot.

Yep, I have just applied for fall 2008 as well, as an early bird considering my GPA and MCAT score of 3.20 and 18M. Hopefully I get in.

My application still isn't complete, everything seems to be taking forever to get there. Wow, I thought waiting for MCAT scores was a stressful month full of anticipation...

Mine has been almost 3 weeks, but my file too a while to complete b/c they had to confirm my letters of recommendation and that just was completed. I am hoping to hear something in the next couple of weeks, I don't know when the committee meets though. What were your stats?
