For Laptop requirements does anyone know if we have to have Window XP professional or will Window Vista be ok??

As long as it runs Powerpoint and Word, you'll be fine.

It seems like a lot of people worry there's some ultra-super-duper networking system at AUC that will only work with finely tuned and calibrated machines that it can interface with. There isn't. Almost any fairly (last decade) new computer system will work fine.

just a personal experience on the topic of computers the combination of the fine people at DELL computer and the new vista software prevented me from having internet for the first 4 weeks I was here on my laptop. My recommendations would be to get a better computer for the same price as a dell and do not use Vista. Some people use them both fine, but my experience was nightmarish
