this is a personal decision that you can find discussed over and over throughout vmd. run a search.

its quite simple, if you want to stay in the US and don't care about the title then go for DO. many people don't want to be a DO, so if that describes you then go for MD.

some will argue about competitive residencies being easier to get from a DO school, but if you get good scores you will give yourself opportunities just the same

Seems totally up to you. Like Kemper said, its personal preference, M.D. or D.O. Some are dead set against D.O.

I know I personally wouldn't wait a whole year longer to go to a D.O. school

no, not rvcom. they are new this year, their first class wont grad until 2012
