It was out in the cafeteria yesterday afternoon and all last night. Seems silly to cut A/C to save on power when students are paying $12,000 a semester tuition. If there is a logical reason, such as a burned out generator or broken A/C unit, that is understandable; however, the fact that they want to save money on power sounds more like AUC to me.
Just be glad you aren't in LH2...we are all wearing parkas and mukluks.

I swear...does Dean S have an email address? I should ask he's enjoying the cold AC up in the administrative offices. I'm sorry but you have over 120 students down there each paying $12,000 per semester, yes folks, thats 1.5 million every four months conservatively for just OUR class. That should be more than enough to pay the electricity. They need to get their stuff together or we need another dean.
Today it got hot in the cafeteria, then we realized the air was turned off on the thermostat, the thermostat was switched to the "on" position and now it is cool in the caf. I wonder if LH1 has a thermostat? I know the air was off in the caf yesterday, and it was not related to the thermostat. Just an idea for adjusting the AC (they have that large supplemental AC unti located on the side of LH1, perhaps it was turned off on the breaker? I suppose we could just complain to the housing office; might be more effective, although complaining about minutia is what AUC students do best.
They have had to shut down certain a/c during the day to give the air to the rooms were more people are. Something is wrong with the generator/electricity and until they get it fixed they have to take from where it isn't needed as much and give it to where most of the people are. I heard they are even shutting the dorm air off in the afternoon....but its just temporary until they get it fixed.
If you just keep telling yourself it's all worth it in the end, perhaps you'll actually believe it.
All of a sudden I have an urge to invade Druidia.

Direct the power to where most of the people are? Are you serious, there's at LEAST 120 of us down there! Finally Dr. B for Micro II made a complaint this morning and the maintainance guys came in and flipped some swithes and voila'. In the meantime however I couldn't help but notice the AC was cooling the huge empty rotunda, the library, the comp. lab, and without any doubt all of the admin. offices. Bull$#%^....
The rotunda should be first to lose A/C. There is like a giant silo of air that does not need to be cooled.
