You and I had almost identical stats. I got in for Fall, but I think my extracurriculars got me in the door. Apply and see.

Like you said GPA a bit on the low side, solid MCAT, and a good amount of EC's. You appear to have a pretty solid chance. Since it's rolling admissions, the sooner you apply, the better your shot.

September is the most competitive start time. It is impossible at most undergrad schools to graduate in time for the May class, so September is the next start time. Plus most people are used to starting in the fall.

January and May are less competitive to get into. January usually has a bunch of people who applied a little too late to get in for fall and were deferred by the school. Last I heard (the OA's here know better than I would) was that the May class still wasn't full yet, and there is now about three weeks until classes start.

Good luck.

2.9- GPA...low, I know.
27Q on the MCAT...I have def. improved my study habits.
Pretty solid resume, worked all through undergrad, have summer research in labs, some hospital volunteering, leadership roles etc.

What do you think?
Also...how much more competitive is the Sepetember semester compared to May or January?

Also, any thougts on that as of tonight, the AUC website was still accepting apps for May? Doesn't the semester start in less than a month from now?

Thanks!

You have a good shot at AUC - you should apply.

May/Jan is less competitive due to the fact that more people want to start in Fall and much fewer people apply for Spring/Summer.

AUC will accept students until they reach their maximum class size (for May=80 according to MSA website).

You have good enough stats to get into AUC, so if you are interested in attending here, go for it. Good luck!!!

You have a decent GPA for AUC.

If you make a 24 on the MCAT, you will have a good shot of getting in

i think you'll be right there......however a "projected" mcat score is useless. if you get in that range, you should be fine
