It will be difficult to get into AUC with a score of 17 on your MCAT. Try to bring it up to at least a 24. Your other numbers seem about average from what I hear.

Hiya everyone~ Ran across this forum on google while researching possible future in medicine. This choice was last minute and as a result I never really had any clinical experience or even THOUGHT about the MCATs during my undergrad years:

-No MCAT (Are there any students accepted without having taken the MCATs??)
-3.9 GPA -- Was a film/Asian studies double major but I've taken all the "required" science courses -- Approximately 60 credit hours -- I think my Science class GPA is about 3.5??)
-The closest thing to clinical experience for me was probably I volunteered at a nursing home where I played piano for the elderly. Altogether I have over 200+ hours and there was a doctor who was an AUC graduate

Sorry I know this isn't alot info to go off on but I appreciate all the help!!

your science GPA is good. take the mcat and then apply. auc will not accept students without their mcat. try studying hard for it. if you can get above a 30, apply to US medical school.

Why don't you take a year or so, do some volunteering, and STUDY for your MCAT. Your Grades are good, look at US schools before thinking straight to the Caribbean.

You need to take the MCAT to get into AUC, like everyone has said. There ARE schools out there that do not require a MCAT score for acceptance, but it is not advisable to consider these schools until you have been rejected from AUC, Ross, SGU, and of course US schools.

Saba has an excellent reputation in the Carib - they don't require the MCAT but strongly recommend it - but you might give it a try ...
