Did volunteer experience for about year and half. Shadowed one of the nation's top pediatric cardiology surgeons Dr. REdmond Burke at Miami Children's Hospital, and then a few local Dr.'s. My LOR's are good including one from Dr. Burke. Have worked through college as a lifeguard and RA and been really involved in other clubs and activities around campus, so i'm not worried about extracurricular. SGU already asked me to retake my MCAT, but i wasn't surprised with that, i'm just hoping its enough to get into AUC

Waiting Anxiety
Hi,
I have been browsing this site for 2 years and would actually like to post a "what are my chances?" I applied on 12/31 to AUC for May '08 and am getting so neervous about being accepted. I am really changing my life with this decision and just want to know if I am going or staying. I graduated in 2002 from SUNY Binghamton with a ** in psychobiology with a very low gpa of 2.3. I have been conducting NCI clinical research trials in hematology/oncology at a medical center for the past 5 years and 4 months (huge clinical and medical experience here). Then I took the following classes at night for the past 2 years: medical microbiology, anatomy & physiology II & II, inorganic chem I & II, organic chem I & II, physics I & II. My gpa for post-bacc coursework was 3.56. MCAT in 8/07 was 24R and 9/07 was 24O. My LOR's are from chief of hem/onc (work), research director (work), physics prof/pre-health advisor and med micro professor/asst chair of biology. so, thank you for giving your opinion of "what my chances are" |
