slevit, I don't think SABA is on the academically equivalent list for Texas. Not saying that a graduate of SABA could not practice in Texas but they would have to jump through a lot of hoops to accomplish this when the other three already have 'equivalence'.

Hey guys,
I am a senior undergrad (bio major) with one semester left; thinking about applying to AUC for fall of 08. Currently, I have around a 3.0 cumulative and 3.0 science, with a 28 MCAT. I will have completed one year of plant biochemistry research with a distinguished professor by the time I graduate. I don't have much volunteering/shadowing experience. What are my chances? |

Thanks a lot for all your help guys. I am actually supposed to retake the MCAT this Friday, but to be honest, I haven't done much additional prep since the first one. I am a little concerned that my score may go down. Should I consider cancelling the scores if I feel I didn't do well? Also, do you think it would be beneficial to try to squeeze in some volunteer hours this semester, or doesn't it matter (not necessary, too little too late, etc)? Once again, thank you very much, I really appreciate it.

If you have not studied well I would not take it, why stress yourself out. Your MCAT is above average for all of the top 3 / 4 Caribbean schools. Spending some time shadowing a physican is always good but you will get accepted to AUC and Ross more than likely even without it. However, I am not on the Adcom so what do I know!
