For a week or two. DO NOT choose AUC over a US school because you think you want to live in the caribbean.

this would not be a good move in my opinion. at least if you go to school in the US, you will have a nice summer as well as winter and spring break. you can visit st maarten on vacation. living here isn't all that, especially since you'll be studying mostly anyways. your wife won't be able to work here either.

If, by some chance, I am able to get into a DO school, I will go. Though, for a "secondary plan", AUC seems like a great choice

oh sorry, i got you confused with the guy that had a 31 and 3.9......DO vs MD is personal preference, so i guess if you are ok with being a DO, definitely stay there. if you don't want to be a DO, then come to AUC. good luck

It's ok

The guy with the 3.9 should have no problem getting into whatever school he wants if his ECs, volunteering, and LOR's are decent...

Don't be too picky either...apply to a lot of schools, even if they wouldn't be your first choice. Better to be at a US school that you don't necessarily love than be in the caribbean.

just basically, apply to US schools... and then to caribbean as a back up.
