i mean they look at everything. its good to do well in your science courses of course. the mcat is part of the picture so its kind of hard to assess your chances without having taken it. come back when you have your score, but for now it looks ok.

Greetings all,

This is my first post on the board, though I have been reading and following posts for some time now. I have found the information to be very helpful in my decision to apply to AUC (before coming to this site, I had not even considered a caribbean medical school!).

Ok, here are my "stats" - I am just curious what people think are my chances:

MCAT SCORE: 25R
TOTAL GPA: 3.588
SCIENCE GPA: 3.367

Thanks

i think your gpa is good and the mcat is the middle of the road, so apply and i think you have a decent shot depending on how your ECs and LORs are. good luck to you.

you do have a higher (than the average acceptance) total GPA and MCAT. yes, you should apply. any other information that you would like to divulge?

I have done four months of medical volunteering in western Kenya over the last two years, though my american medical volunteer experience is less than 20 hours.....

Other than that, I have nothing to offer

like kemper said, just on stats alone, you're fine. your volunteer experience will help your acceptance. apply and see.

what term are you applying for? If you are applying for January--i think that you have an okay chance if you apply tonight and have everythign submited as soon as possible. class begins jan 3 and i was told to hurry and turn in my deposit because there are a few seats left. If you are applying for the next term--you're probably going to get in with your stats.

New Poster here

Hey guys, I am new to this. I dont really care where I go to med school , MD, DO, Caribbean as long as I become a good practicing physician. I am a Jr in college, caucasian male, and US citizen.

I have a 31P and a 3.9 GPa, Worked as an EMT for a year, some shadowing, research for a couple years, a few presentations, and a few volunteer opportunities. What do you think I should do, apply allopathic, Osteopathic or Caribbean.

any feedback would be appreciated?
