CHEM 1 (B+)
CHEM 2 (B)
MATH (A)
BIO 1 (B)
BIO 2 (B)
PHYS 1 (B)
PHYS 2 (B)
ENGLISH/SOSC (A)
ORG (C) - it was a one full year course, C is above average for Org at my school,... but unfortunately the committee probably won't care/know about that

overall GPA just below 3.0 or 3.0 (i cannot calculate it, since our school doesnt use a 4.0 GPA system) , but only because of my first year grades (1.4GPA) , every GPA after was above 3.0 i think
18M MCAT (english is my 2nd language) - i know this sucks! :/
2000$ Academic Scholarship (for 3rd year grades)
Clinical Research Coordinator - 2.5 Years which included tons of shadowing as well
3 cardiology publications in very respected medical journals
lots of extra-cirriculars

advice?
Read jkeenan's post!! An 18 MCAT is very low and your extracurriculars probably aren't going to make up for it. Your GPA is just average, so that's not making up for the MCAT either. I would guess that your chances here are pretty slim, and I wouldn't be so sure about Ross either. Your best bet is probably going to be to retake the MCATs.

And you can certainly calculate your GPA!! If you can't, that may explain the 18 MCAT.

So it makes a huge difference! Will AUC allow me to take the higher grade if a course is repeated?

Worse scenario --

science GPA 2.69
cGPA 3.08

What MCAT should I be aiming for? Of course the higher the better but I want to know what is the minimum I am allowed to get considering my horrible science GPA? Will MCAT of 23 suffice? Has anyone gotten in with a science GPA of 2.6?? I am a non-traditional student and career changer. I am working full-time so it's a little hard to study for the MCAT at this time. I feel so depressed and hopeless =(. Please advice me on what I need to do to get accepted next year. Thanks everyone.
At the Prehealth Office at UMD they told me that your science GPA includes any class that was math, chem, physics, or biology so like any class BIOXXX or CHEMXXX was a science class but classes like statistics which is a math class but had the STATXXX name on my transcript did not count. The same with any other science class not out of the chem, physics, or biology department. People commonly try to add classes like nutrition or health classes because they are science classes in nature and usually boost your GPA but they do not count. Hope this helps. PS dont feel depressed and hopeless. In my experience they scare you with things all through college about only 1 out of 10 people still being pre med by senior year that start out premed and that only 1 out of 50 get into medical school and some crap like that. At least in my experience the only people that never eventually get into someplace are the ones that just give up and stop caring. I would say that around a 23 or 24 would get you a spot.

hi guys.....i have gotten into ross but I really don't want to go there. do i have a chance at auc for january? 24R mcat, 3.35 cgpa, 3.2 science gpa. did anyone get in with stats similar to these? a big part of the problem is that i have two c+ in my last semester---due to family problems I had to move back home my last year and commuting a couple of hours didn't really cut it..especially because i had to miss a few evaluations that contributed to those marks. but neway---24R, 3.35...good enough?

yeah..you have a good chance...if you look through the post many people have gotten in with scores higher and lower than yours.
If you haven't filled out your apps you should turn it in....asap.

Thank you so much for the boost of confidence =). I will aim for mid 20s. I used to work for an optometry office. Will that count towards health related experience or will I need experience in hospital environment or physician's office? Honestly, I work full-time and by the time I get home I get really tired and have no time to volunteer or do research.

I'd say no way, or at least it shouldn't!

You're right at the average, go for it.

Wish we could tell you more, but the admissions committee sometimes works in mysterious ways, and none of us are a part of it. Really, all any of us are doing is comparing you to the averages. I'm not totally sure why this thread even exists. If you're below AUC's average (available on their website), then there's a good chance you won't be accepted. If you're above their average, there's a good chance you will be. It's really that simple.
