hey what does anyone think about my chances?

cGPA: 3.25
sGPA: 3.00
MCAT: 19M (i dont know what happened, i was getting mid 20's on the practice aamc exams and was completely shocked when i got my score back)

i volunteered at a hospital, and at an inner city elementary school. i was involved with four of clubs. i was president of one club and vice president or another one. I have shadowed doctors. I was a teaching assistant for a 100 level anatomy class one semester and was a teaching assistant for a 300 level anatomy class the next semester.

I am hoping my extracurricular stuff will make up for my mcat.

i'm starting to sound like a broken record. i dont think you have a reasonable shot with an mcat of 19. yeah your extracurricular activities are good but i really doubt whether that will make up for your score.

if you are serious about auc, you'll probably want to consider retaking the mcat and get a score in the mid-20s or above. good luck.

important

i dont' think this has been answered before. has anyone gotten (or know anyone else who's gotten) any of the admission criteria waived? to be specific, i only have on organic chemistry. sgu and ross substitued the second requirement for biochemistry (and they looked at my other courses in immunology, microbiology, and virology). would auc be willing to do this? thanks for any help.

yikes that 5 in V is brutal. it is getting more competitive to get into the big four...your gpa is OK....sgu is probably a big stretch.

see what happens with your app.....if it doesnt work out, then i think you know what you have to do.

not sure if they interview. they used to only interview borderline candidates but that might be changing. GPA is good, that 5 in verbal is rough......good luck
