Morale boost
My cumulative gpa is 2.5,
premed gpa is 2.23 sci gpa is 2.7 Biol Major from a UC. mcat a 26M (VR9,PS9,BS8) No research, barely any clinical experience, worked for a year and half at an environmental lab after graduation, good LOR. I was on AP about 7 times initially, but I did much better in upper division classes. I applied to AUC and Ross in April 2007 for their Sept classes. I was waitlisted for AUC's Sept class and admitted for Ross' Sept Class(Not Merp). So you see, everyone should apply, because you never know until you apply. |

just curious
does AUC give any preference to any schools for being more rigorous?
i ask because one of my department advisers said that some east coast US med schools will inflate our GPA by a small amount due to strong grading curves that we have. She also said that other medical schools in California will curve my gpa against only those from my school when applying. Does AUC give any preference or lenience toward such students from these schools? |
