You stand a good shot of being accepted. AUC is a great first choice!

No one can ever be a shoe in. You have a slightly higher GPA than I did, and the same MCAT, and I got in for Fall 08. I think you stand a very good chance, apply and see.

If you are just a junior, do really well in your remaining classes.

Honestly, I think youd be a shoe in for jan or may, but people tend to get upset on this forum if you speak definitively (we are not the ones making the decisions)...

Know the president of the university, or the dean of admissions etc. Really we non-adcom people can't tell anyone whether they are shoe in or not. A good shot means good chance of getting in without any red flags on your application (which we haven't seen).

me too.....DO might be an option as well if you are open to it. i would think you would get into at least one of the big four caribbean schools.

you could probably get in with no problems if you bought the golf course and gave it to the university for renovation...

and also i have a rack of ec's, research/RA/TA/Scribe at hospital (over 200hrs) / and like the usual president of stuff, with a scholars citation from University of Maryland College Park

i have 120 credits as a jr, and will probably marticulate with about 150, and i am a finance major who has taken a rack of bio classes (biochem/mamphys etc)

thanks!

auc is like my top choice. im also applying to sgu and ross and applying to a few us DO schools and one or two med schools.
You have a good shot for caribbean or DO. Nobody is ever a shoe in, mostly because we have no idea what else may be in your application that they don't like. For all we know, you're an amazing student with an equally impressive criminal record.

hahah thanks guys, def appreciated. I would love to goto a DO school but i donno if my gpa and mcats cut it. I have 2 friends down at AUC right now and they love it. Its def the top chocie out of the big four. also i had heard auc has trouble placing people in clinicals for fall classes, does that impact their decisions as to who they let in?

Your GPA and MCAT are likely good enough for a DO school. They're nearly as easy to get into as the Big 3 Caribbean schools. Just a matter of whether or not you wanna be a DO for the rest of your life. AUC does not have trouble placing students into clinicals. There are currently no students waiting for spots, and they do not expect there to be any having to wait either.
