Hi,

I am going to be 33 years old and I have a very unique situation. I completed my first 2 year of college back in 1995 and then took MCAT in 1995. I got a score of 22. 7 verbal, 8 physical sceince and 7 biological science. Then I finished my bachelors from Cal State University in Fullerton, Californiaback in 2000. My overall GPA was around 3.5. Since then I haven't gone back to college or a University. My question is would I have to retake MCAT, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, etc etc in order to apply to AUC. What are my chances of getting into AUC considering the fact that I finished my bachelors degree almost 10 years ago. Thanks for any input.

Thanks

You wouldn't have to retake your science classes, but you would likely have to retake the MCAT. I don't think anywhere accepts MCAT scores that are more than 4 years old. Other than that, you should be good to go. Best to check with MEAS though for a definite answer.

It'll be better to get the C's...it looks a lot worse to fail a class than to get a C, even if you retake it and get an A the 2nd time.

You should apply.

Your GPA and MCAT are close to the average for AUC.

I think I read a post on here about AUC accepting old MCAT scores (as opposed to AMCAS, which sets a limit on how far back you can go) - You could call MEAS and ask.

Would it be impossible for you to invest a month into retaking MCAT again? (I'm so shocked when anyone with such a high GPA wants to try carib) ...

before you make any decisions try www.studentdoctor.net - MCAT forum (it gives you a LOT of advice about how to prep for MCAT & maybe you can avoid carib all together...

For sure, you're guaranteed for AUC
