O Fortuna! My turn at the wheel. Utilizing USPS Express, I sent my application documents on Monday, April 7th and they procured the package the next day on Tuesday, April 8th. I initiated a phone call on Wednesday and they told me that it is currently under review. Granted, I wholeheartedly know it takes a while but what time frame should be expected?

Alas, my stats:
B.A. History & B.S. Kinesiology
EMT-I (St License & NREMT Cert.) - testing for EMT-P/NREMT-P credentials this Aug.; previous PBT (ASCP). I have a plethora of clinical experience, but no research.... G.P.A. = 2.7275

MCATs: 28S (13V, 6PS, 9BS); 28S (13V, 5PS, 10**); 23R (12V, 4PS, 7BS)
I hate, hate, hate physics - calculus based, algebra based, it all bites.... big-time.

You should definitely NOT have taken your MCAT over again. You should only re-take an MCAT if you do poorly and expect a much better score. Getting the same score multiple times, and then decreasing, does not look good.

But, what's done is done. Your GPA is definitely on the low side, but the 28 MCAT could very well balance that out. The clinical experience also can't hurt. You have as good a shot as anyone, better than some.

Thanks for being so forthcoming slevit1.

Yes, my g.p.a. is dismal. That is why I sat for the MCAT multiple times, to hopefully offset some of my collegiate marks. Gradually, I did improve. It is my mistake for not clarifying how my scores are listed. It is the most recent score that appears first. I agree though, the deviation is minimal - especially when it comes to PS. {sigh}

I see you're a medic too, I would assume your clinical skills and experience are the envy of your class, no?

you probably have an OK shot....im not sure how AUC takes multiple mcat scores into account. hopefully your third performance wont sink you. that second time when you got the same score should have been a bit of a hint to ya. at this stage in the game, clinical skills and experience arent going to really help you through basic sciences.......i do appreciate what little i have though

Here's my take:

1) You have two degrees
2) You are EMT certified
3) You took the MCAT three times
4) You are anal about details (3.72758974398234792834732498 instead of just saying 2.7 just playin' with ya)

I say you have a good shot. Just be ready to explain why you have less than 3.0 and why you took the MCAT so many times.
