Are there any apartments at a walking distance to school? If there are, how are they? How far? and Cost?

Wow

Yes, there are plenty, ranging from $500 per month for some studios to prolly $2400 for some 2 BR, with everything in between.

Housing

You can contact housing@aucmed.com to get an up to date housing list. The school is in Cupecoy, so look for listings in that area. Some of the listings will just say close to campus. If you find one you like and aren't sure of its proximity to the school, then contact the spouse club and we'll help out. aucspouse@hotmail.com

Apartment rental help

Hi my name is Carol Ripple. My husband is a student and I have been working here as a real estate agent helping students find apartments.

I currently am working on getting a good size inventory for the may class. Feel free to email me at carolripple110@hotmail.com and I can help you with the move and answer some common questions.

Congrats and look forward to hearing from you.

Carol

bleu azur

I live in Bleu Azur apartments and have been here for the last year. I've had a great experience with this place.. I live on the top floor and my roof doesn't leak. As far as the rumored maintenence person stealing food...she has left.. moved to Morocco. Also, I don't know of anyone who hasn't gotten their deposit back except for those who broke their lease early because they heard that they wouldn't get it back!! Not trying to sell this place by any means.. Just saying watch out for the rumor mill. It's really amazing how false info gets out and amplified around here. You'll definitely see what I mean when you get here.

Cheers,
Chris

blue azur

those who left breaking the lease left because of major problems, what are there 15 units in the building? so i've seen 6/15.
i was an architect and have seen first hand the electrical problems, exposed wiring, roof water marks on five apartments along with stress cracks along the walls facing the street. on the few occasions i met the landlord along with friends who were having problems as "back up" i would not deal with this person professionaly so this is not a true rumor spin but experience from last semester. i have seen a lot of work being done this semester on the building though and most of the problem apts were on the street side so maybe they fixed them i haven't been there in three months. also my building code standards may be a bit skewed for the caribbean since people move in to apt buildings before they are even finished, don't they have building code inspection before tenants can move in?oh yea i ain't in kansas anymore....
