hotel reservations?

does anyone know whether it will be really busy in terms of tourists during the carnival. my parents are coming down with me to drop me off, so they need to stay in a hotel. would it be better to make reservations or just get rooms when we arrive? i'd rather not provide credit card information for reservations. any advice as an aside, how many miles is the airport from auc?

Short answer is yes.....you should still be able to find hotel rooms tho but expect to pay higher price

going with the bigger hotels (Maho, Royal Palm, etc) you shouldn't have any concerns about credit cards

Mile wise (not sure since they moved it but guesstimate 2-2.5 miles

They didn't move it very far. It is slightly closer now.

It's like a 5 minute drive from the airport to AUC. Probably less if it weren't for the damn speed bumps. I hate speed bumps.

coming from the airport that last speedbump closest to the school is actually better if you go over it at full speed!
