I have had pretty good luck with the new Winward Island's ATM outside of Sugar Cane (they replaced the old one that used to rob students of their money). I hear there is the new RBTT indoor ATM in the casino over by the Tai Restaraunt. That one is indoors and I hear works (although I have not used it myself). I will take note to avoid the ATM as a universal precaution over by Scotia Bank, thanks for the post.

I haven't had any problems with the Winward Island's ATM so far. It's the one with the cracked screen right?

That is the one I use, and have found it works OK. I did not use it until they replaced it (the old one for the new one with the cracked screen). Who cracked the screen, I wonder?

Solution

You know, we wouldn't have to worry about this problem if the school could just get the ATM onto campus like they promised. Has anyone heard any updates on this? As of last semester, they were working on the contract with the bank ( either scotia or winward, but i forget which one).

Are you serious???? That's the only ATM I use...! Had you used any others recently or used your debit card at any stores? Did BOA have any idea what the problem was? Grrrr...I hope they catch whoever's responsible and shove bamboo shoots into their nail beds. Not likely, but we can always dream.

Unfortunately, there was a lot fewer grains of salt to this post than I had previously hoped. The Dean of Island Relations/Service sent out an email to all of the students letting us know that this is a problem (I know a few students who are affected). It would be prudent to check your bank accounts and make sure your finances are accounted for (this should normally be done anyway). If there are funds missing, the letter includes the steps required for students who have lost money to rectify the situation. Good luck.

They can afford a "Dean of Island Relations" and can't have our graduation at a venue other than an on campus lecture hall?!
