Thread: I just saved $500 on global insurance

Hi Friends,

You wont believe this, but I just bought insurance from now through May 2007 on Value MD for 197.05. This would have cost me $712 through AUC's insurance.

That is $515 dollars savings folks, and they issued me a waver at registration today NO PROBLEM.

The good news is that I saved the money, the bad news is I lost about 800 bones in the last semesters.

I know that most of you have your insurance already this semester, but next time, remember this post, search Value MD and buy the stuff online. All the school wants is a guarantee that they don't have to pay for your ticket out of here in the event of an emergency. This policy covers emergency evacuation up to $10,000. I am 31, so the premium is probably cheaper for you younger whippersnappers.

Deductible = $2,500 Rational?...I am not buying health insurance here and neither are you, unless you are the one in 2000 or so AUC kids that gets air-lifted off this island. I am trying to leap the health insurance hurdle with the lowest cost. Most of us are "young" (except you, Chuck), with few prescription medications and are LOW RISK, insurance-wise. Save your wad now and cough up the $2,500 if it is absolutely necessary on the chopper ride to Miami.
