Is a laptop (computer) required? Is it good to have anyways? Are the computers in the computer labs sufficient?

You could get by without one. You could probably also live without power in your house if you really wanted to live like a monk for a couple of years.

yes, get a laptop. you'll definately need it. you'll use it for powerpoint lectures, etc.

i knew of a student without a computer for 2 semesters. that student was in pain and it was a struggle for that person to study.

i know of one person who made it through in 5 semesters without a computer. He still doesn't have a computer in clinicals.
