She wasn't in the dorms. She lived off campus (but still very near the school).

How often do they stop you guys now? The entire time I was there I think I was asked for ID twice. Anyway, just look at how many people get into the 5th semester sale who you've never seen before...makes you wonder about the true safety the security officers, who make hardly any money, really provide.

Hm, no idea why they put it that way... I know for a fact what complex she lives in (it's not too big so I'd rather not name it). But if you want me to PM you the name, I will.

I know that she does NOT live in the dorms on campus but rather at cote d' azure. Also, she was asleep in her bed, but got up when the attacker knocked at the door and she opened it without asking who was behind it. This is the way I was told the story right after the attack.

It never ceases to amaze me when people from one country complain about the behavior and cultue of another country. I will tell you one thing, if I am in Singapore, I will not chew gum and if I am in Cuba, I will not talk politics. It is basic and common sense and crime is illogical and awful, but prevention is paramount because the world is a heartless place.

The sexual assault is awful but the police behavior is to be expected.

BTW- I would love to hear why some crazy guy randomly attacks students in a car. The whole story was probably not told by ABC.

Rape and Physical Violence are not cultural examples to be respected and observed; they are to be changed. What is happening is simple corruption.

What culture are we talking about Dominican, Saint Maarten, Haitian? There are few native Saint Maarteners on the island. I say "good afternoon" at the supermarket, I participate in Carnival, and I drink Guavaberry Rum. As most Saint Maartener's would agree, these are cultural practices to observe, not rape, violence, and police corruption.

Please read properly before misquoting what I said. Otherwise, it makes no sense and results in the falsehoods you presented above.

Whatever culture you happen to be immersed in, which is to say, not American culture.

and FYI: The student was NOT attacked in Cote d'Azur, but in a smaller, neighboring building where the paved portion of Tigris Road turns to dirt. As previously observed, I will not use the complex's name.

Talking Moral of the story?

If SXM were diagnosed with a defensive mechanism, I'd say it has regression.
