Looking for roomie to share 2 bedroom Cote de Azur Marina Apt

Hi!

My fiance and I recently rented a beautiful two bedroom apartment (as big as our house in CA) right on the Water! It is a little big for us and we thought sharing with another AUC student (or couple) would be nice. The apartment in in the Cote de Azur Marina complex all the way down by the H20! We have two decks and a terrace that is on the waters edge. On the first floor there is a large kitchen with 2 refrigerators, a living area with sliding glass doors onto the deck and a half bath. The second floor has two bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. There is also a small deck on the second floor. The bedroom we are offering is very big, furnished with a queen sized bed, a desk w/chair, bedside table with a lamp and a closet. The bedroom locks with a key to ensure your privacy. It also has it's own bathroom with a large shower and nice fixtures. You will have full house priveledges (the apartment is fully furnished). Everything is light and airy and we get a really nice breeze and view off the water. We also have a pool and washer and dryer that we share with 2 other apartments. We are offering this bedroom @ $800.00 a month which includes utilities, with 1 month security (which is an additional $800.00, this is a one time fee). Another important factor: we are literally a 5 minute walk from campus. Please email me if you are interested: terraharker@yahoo.com
or call us @:55-23392 (from anywhere on the island) or
011 599 55 23392 (from the states)
Thank You!

Nope

Three-minute walk to campus, literally.

I am not talking about the '15-minute walk' from Pelican Key or Pointe Pirouette that the landlords tell you about when trying to rent you their apartments which is more like 45 mins to 2-3 hours, but an actual 3-4 minute walk from my front door (in Cote d'Azur Marina) to my classroom at school.

Just so you know.

lol...its nice to know that embellishments go on other islands too. lol. in dominica, at the last housing tour, apartments that were 15 minute walks were consistently advertized as 3-4 minute walks. there are liars everywhere.

...

It seems that there is a shortage of housing this semester. Not sure if this is due to high season or what not.

Housing...

...Not due to high season, according to realtors. It's primarily due to the size of last September's class (125+) that there are no availabilities. That means that January 2004 Newbies without accomodations are pretty much SOL. With the departure of the September 2002 class (another big one, so I hear), there should be ample housing availability for the May 2004 class and then some. The high season complicates the housing picture due to the fact that there are alot of landlords doing committing to numerous short-term rentals for mega $$$ while foregoing long term student leases.

Aloha,
