Help! New to island

Hi, We just got here on the island. We are staying at Pointe Piroutte and our landlord said the walk to school was 15 minutes from here. Well we walked to the school on Tuesday and it took us 45 minutes. My husband has orientation on Friday at 9:00 a.m. could anyone give us a ride? We are in apartment #9. The 2 med students that live above us are not going to be in town until this weekend. We would also love to meet other med students and their spouses. We are going to Mullet Bay beach today. A 30 minute walk, which isn't too bad. Does anyone know where we can get a cheap car? Thank you for all of the help! You can email me back at aligalee@yahool.com or I'll check back for any responses!

Thanks,
Alecia

Hi

I personally prefers leasing over buying a car here. If you go to school and look up the bulletin board for sale by studetents-they are in the hall way by the main lobby- there should be many cars for sale. The price range is from $1500-$3000. The leasing cost me $285 per month and gas only cost me 17$ for a full tank that gets me around for a month becus it is very small compact car. Insurance for auto is third party for $250 for one year, which I am having now. I think Marshal motor is excellent where I lease from now. you can take one of those bus and tell the driver to take you to marshall motor or AUC. You can flag them down by the roadside by the casino near the school or any roadside and the bus has a sing "Bus" on their front windshied. They will know where to go immediately I meant the bus that are van. It cost only $3 per person per trip. And these bus runs all day often.

Take care. If I am in the Isalnd I cound give u ride but I am still in Denver home for break!

I will give you a lift

I will be happy to give you guys a lift. I sent you an email.....but thought I would do this also. I haven't been in the vacinity of your apartment before so I am going to see if I can find it now. Also, let me know if you do want me to give you a ride. :-airplanep
