auc v ross

i think auc's clinicals are way inferior to both ross and sgu so think about your decision and do some more research. this is just my opinion.

Ummm, don't AUC students rotate alongside Ross students during many of their clinicals? If so, how is AUC inferior? Just curious...

Yeah

Futuresurgeon, that is really an unfounded and uneducated statement. In many cases AUC and Ross students roate alongside each other. You are obviously not a clinical science student, and if you are, you have not paid attention. There is little difference between the 2. G

Clinicals

As a Ross students, I firmly believe that Ross, AUC, and SGU are all fine medical schools which have graduated thousands of quality physicians. From time to time, we had Ross alumni visiting the Dominica's campus to keep our spirits up and they all say that AUC students do share rotations with Ross students and there are usually more than enough spots for everyone. This sounds tiring but it really is up to the individual!

The above quote is a far cry from "Ross has more options".

I still think it is silly to transfer from Ross to AUC this late in the game. Ross is a good school with a good reputation, and there is no good reason to transfer from one to another. G

You also have to realize that Ross has at least triple the amount of students per year than AUC.

AUC: 120+70+60
Ross: 260+ 240+200 <=== My figures aren't correct but they are in the ballpark

Each school has strength and weakness. But at the end, it is up to each student to get the best out of this game regardless the schools. The posting like this with "inferior" doesnt help anyone but only lower the effectiveness of this forum as objective source of information.

Ross and AUC both are well established med schools. It is matter of personal decision to opt one over the other. Once you have done so, it is far wise to stick to your decision and do your best while not bashing others decision by using word like inferior.

Good luck

Kenneth
