Tested Material v/s Professed Material?

I am curious to get feedback on various teaching styles at AUC. I only have had 4 different professors so far and have seen such a broad range of teaching. I want to know should I expect a majority of professors to stress some points and then test you on totally different points? I am a firm believer in you tell me what you want me to know, and I will learn it. I don't care how much material or how hard the material, just tell me what you expect. I think it is such a novel concept, but I am sure we all go into tests wondering where did this come in? I know there will be more professors to come in later semesters that will do the same thing. Profess one thing, then test on another. I thought the way school was suppose to be structured was: Teacher tells us what we are to be responsible for, then they test us on that matieral. To all you 2nd to graduates I have a question: How were your experiences in differing classes with the teaching style v/s testing style. What do you think the reasons for testing so different than what is professed?

Remember. In medical school while stressed material will usually be tested on, it is your responsibility to know everything they give you. No two ways around that. Have a nice day.

Well, first verify that the prof never said it in class. Then refer to the lub-dub incident argued in this forum when I was in anatomy. LOL.
