Is anyone else getting sick of people yelling at 4 AM at Campus Village?
OK, I understand that this weekend was the big party on the island. Does that mean that I had to wake up at 4 AM to inconsiderate jerks yelling for TWO HOURS in the parking lot and in the halls?
I also understand that a lot of you just moved out of your parent's palatial mansions and are on your own for the very first time. I remember when I was finally a big kid and could do what ever I wanted without mommy and daddy right there watching my every move. Pay attention here, children, I'm about to say something very important..... YOU ARE BEING INCONSIDERATE, SPOILED AND IRRESPONSIBLE. MANY OF YOUR NEIGHBORS AND CLASSMATES ARE TRYING TO SLEEP SO THEY CAN PASS MEDICAL SCHOOL. While you guys are partying away your parent's money, others are trying to study and actually pass their classes, (I know, how shocking). For those of you that can party AND pass, good for you. Now stop waking everyone up with your juvenile partying. For the rest of you that can't seem to stay away from Q long enough to pass your classes, we'll call St. Mathews and let them know you are coming. By the way, you will most likely be able to figure out who this is, fine. Come to my apartment and explain to me why you yelling at 4 AM is more important than people who are actually GOING to be doctors getting some rest. I would truly love to hear your rational. Be advised though, I am not the only one who is done with you, and YOU KNOW IT. Last edited by John Doom; 03-07-2006 at 08:09 AM. |

There is no cognitive reasoning with those that want to act like a fool because if they're up drinking until 4am anyways, what makes you think they're going to a) read this and b) care about anyone/anything but themselves and the next exam. Besides.. I didn't hear anything from where I am! :P |

The good old days
I remember a few parties when I lived at Campus Village. In fact, I was even involved in a few. However, I also remember the occasional time when people were being extremely loud in the parking lot and hallways. Just use the simple solution that I did: Ask them politely to hold the noise down while intimating that you would beat them down if they didn't. Worked for me. Unless the noise was coming from Mushie Cookie's, then I just took it.
