I really want to learn Spanish proficiently. I speak very basic Spanish and I understand more than I speak, but I wanted to know if AUA is going to consider offering a Spanish course. Considering that by 2010 the population of spanish speakers is going to be considerable, I think it can be very useful to learn it well.

So, is AUA going to offer such a course, even if its not intensive? Is it likely or no? My friends that are doing clinicals say that its very helpful to know Spanish.

AUA does not and will not offer Spanish. The Venezuelan embassy which is on campus sponsors a Spanish course for local Antiguans once a week, during certain times of the year.
