Prospective Student Questions

I had a family emergency and had to leave mid-term from Ross last fall. I want to return in May but I really did not like the size of the classes at RUSOM.
1. How many first term students? How any total?
2. Are there cadavers for Anatomy?
3> How are the faculty. I heard Dr. Nardil and a few others came to AUA.

All info or email contacts with students appreciated.
Bob

I can't tell you a thing about AUA but I can tell you that Dr. Nardell is still here at Ross, because I had class with her all week in physio

Curious

Hi-I am under the impressiont that several Ross faculty left and over 100 ross students have transferred to this school. What's your take on this? How many students survived and are in second semester? Bob

2nd sem

If you mean here at Ross, a little over 80 failed, and about 20 others did not return for other reasons, or so we are told. There are about 250 in our class now, though some of those are transfers and repeaters. So far 2nd is much harder and it looks as if it is not going to get any easier in the coming weeks. Physio and Neuro are tricky and filled with info, and anatomy is already overwhelming. People who had trouble passing first are going to have it even worse this term I think.

AUA 2nd Semester Student

Hi,
AUA 2nd Semester Student here. From what I hear, there are about 80 1st semester students (I haven't been paying much attention to the numbers). The 2nd Semester Class is about 60. There were a handful (approx. 10 people) that didn't pass at least one of their 1st semester courses (anatomy or histology). They are only required to make up the class that they failed. I believe Dr. Nardil was planning on leaving Ross, but changed her mind. We have great profs. Dr. ******** from AUC teaches Gross Anat and Dr. Ochoa from SABA teaches Histology to name a few. Lastly, yes there are cadavers for anatomy. Please feel free to Pm me with any further questions.
