I know this is a pretty dumb question and most people might not know exact numbers or even a ball park figure...
But what do you think the acceptance rate post-interview is?
I'm extremely nervous here lol.

523 points that is an interesting question. i would also like to know about how many people apply each year, the interviews given, and the acceptance and denial figures...if that's at all possible. does anyone know of a site that we can visit to see this statistical information?
i haven't heard of anyone getting a denial post-interview. then again, i don't know of anyone that would gleefully announce rejection...![]()
518 points Yeah, all of that info would be very interesting to know. Maybe in a couple more years, more and more caribbean schools will put those statistics up.
One of my friends actually did get rejected from Antigua a couple weeks ago... I'm worried for myself now.
523 points sorry to hear about your friend!![]()
518 points Thanks, yeah so am I. I was really looking forward to studying with them and going through the whole process together since we applied at the same time, had interviews within days of each other, and etc. but they already got rejected :/ I did not receive anything yet. I know they are definitely capable of going through medical school and becoming a great physician, so they are redeeming themselves in the meantime and reapplying.
523 points is there some sort of appeals process they can submit so maybe they can explain to the admissions committee any reasons for their (admissions committee) rejecting them? i don't know, just a thought. would be nice to go through med school with friends...of course we'll make new ones when we get on that rock!![]()
518 points Yeah I told them to email admissions and ask about it. They told him to take a few more science courses with lab, and then reapply.
518 points Just wanted to update on my situation.... I got rejected for Aug 2012! Yes I'm very heartbroken and extremely sad.
510 points Sorry to hear that! I applied and had my interview on the 1/31 and have yet to hear anything back! But I applied to the Philippines for medical school and it has the same clinical rotations in the US and its significantly cheaper than going to the Caribbean. I have already been accepted by a international MD program there when I had my interview. If you are really set on medical school this year, I would apply to the Philippines, PM me if you have any questions on some schools that have US rotations. FYI, most of the schools in the Philippines have California accreditation. So if you have the desire to do your residency and practice there, your MD will be recognized!
