LCME Withdraws Accreditation from the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine
Effective October 3, 2011, the LCME has withdrawn accreditation from the educational program leading to the MD degree at the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine. This decision was based primarily on the LCME's assessment of inadequate clinical resources. This decision is final. The notification letter sent to the program informed it of its right to provide official comment to the U.S. Department of Education and to the LCME. If the program chooses to exercise this option, copies of the comments will be made available to the public by request. A copy of the letter notifying the program of this decision is available here.

Does AUA have an affiliation with this school? That is really sad to see. What were the specifics of the problems?
wow, i don't think the LCME has ever actually withdrawn accreditation of a school before. This is pretty big stuff.
was considering transferring there back during my 3rd year as a few others in my class did but was turned off by the fact that I would've had to repeat my third year and graduate a year later....glad I didn't
wow, i was actually looking through the forums to see if it was posted. i learned of this today when i was visiting my old program showing my new baby pics. i overheard my previous program director tell the residency coordinator to call any students scheduled for a residency interview from that school with instructions to withdraw the interview invite.
ouch.... not many options for current students. maybe aamc will come to help them as alluded to in this link from aamc.
