Thread: Loans and the new grading system

I just called AUA NY office and spoke to student financial services. I had an inquiry regarding to who will be eligible for funding due to the new grading system, Honor, pass, and failed. The answer I got from the representative was, "I don't know what you are talking about, you need a GPA of 2.75 to obtain loans" In short, I was transferred to an admission adviser which she did not picked up. I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone. There are "rumors" that a Pass will be like a 3.0, so as long you keep passing you are gold. Any students know more about this, please PM or feel free to post it here. Thank you.

Guessing they will do like other schools. They will maintain both a numerical grade and a H/P/F grade on you. Your in-house transcript will show ANATOMY P (78) or something like that. Your external transcript will just show the P. That way, they can continue to calculate a true GPA for loan purposes. This is just an educated guess. They may do it totally different.

That is what I have been hearing too. As disturbing it may sound, a lot of current and prospective students are still trying to figure this out. Everything I have obtained are just guesses, good guesses though. We just wont know until a school officials explain this. Again jgilbert63, I appreciated your reply.
