How does the school view retakes?

I retook a few classes (Chem I was retaken a few times for reasons other than academic difficulty) and in the retakes achieved no less than a B in any of them. Classes I did not retake include Physics, O-Chems. Bottom line is none of my retakes were done due to academic difficulty simply poor time management, immaturity, full-time work, and ADHD. No excuses, I own my mistakes and think they shaped me in the positive but still are hold ups in the eyes of adcoms, for good reason I suppose.

What I do have going for me is an upward trend as well as 5+ years in EMS as a paramedic. Also so decent EC like volunteering, teaching, and a non-science research internship my freshman year of college. GPA is okay maybe at about 2.8 for both cGPA and sGPA.

If your cumulative GPA is 2.8 even after repeating prerequisite courses for B's or better, you will be marginal at best for admission to AUA. Reason being: all attempts if prerequisite courses including W's are listed (W's are not calculated) and calculated into AUA's "Prerequisite GPA". Just by what you have described above odds are this GPA would fall below 2.50.

Ok so I recalculated counting all grades as equal, no averaging of retakes and such.

Both GPAs turned out to be in the 2.5 to 2.6 range. That being said, higher level science courses have A or B grades and there is a strong upward trend. Plus good ECs and everything.
