Does anyone have any idea what the attrition rate at AUA is? Is it as high as, say, Saba? Thanks in advance....

I would say perhaps 50-60%. Although the school will deny that number. For lower attrition rates stick with SGU, AUC or US schools.
Your completely on your own down here.

511 points if you are asking this before coming to school .. you might want to reconsider and see if you are ready to attend. remember.. its not the school that failes you.. its you that fails you.

^ True. Although I don't think it's that simple 100% of the time.

512 points I would say something like this. 100 students in an original class. 70 are able to continue to the next semester, whether financially, lonely/bad living conditions, failing, etc. Out of 70, probably 50-55 make it off the island, this cut more so for financial and grades only.
Out of those 55 students from day 1, I would say 35-40 will pass the step 1 with being fairly liberal.
This means the overall Step 1 pass rate from students who were not held back or had problems is close to 40/100, give or take up to 10% and thats accurate for sure.
Many students will be held back, transfer to other schools, assuming how many students, EVENTUALLY pass the step 1 from day 1 in any shape or form at any location or school, probably closer to 55-60/100.
Overall on time semester graduations+step 1 passing score=40%
Overall succession to Step 1 passing score and beyond, probably closer to 60%.
Paying 15,000 a semester to find this out is not fun, to say the least.
From a business point of view, this is sheer bliss.
Lets say 450 MD students at 15k each, revenue per semester, 6,750,000 x2 for one year, over 13 million dollars, only on the MD campus.
This means approx. 7 million dollars is coming PER YEAR from students who will never become AUA grads.
This also means, with so many of the staff from India, even averaging $60,000k per year salary for each professor, at 30 staff, local antiguans make nothing, the deans make more, thats 1.8 million. Even if the operating cost is 2 million in antigua, the school JUST FROM ANTIGUA, JUST THE MD STUDENTS are netting 10 million dollars per year.
Lets all quit and open a school?

687 points seriously if you can't compete with US students you probably won't make it
you'll be applying to the same programs as them
