Thread: 2011 Match Discussion

Who's applying? Questions...comments? Let's try to keep this thread pertinent to the match and nothing else. I'm more or less ready to go, got my personal statements done, ERAS app is done, programs are picked and ready to be applied, 3/4 of my LORs have been transmitted to ERAS, my transcript was just transmitted to the ECFMG..the only thing left for me is my last LOR and a picture

congrats! i have all my LoR's in and there're uploaded, but i still havn't done the app. I'm trying to get all the myeras app done by sept 1st. but was wondering how long does it take to "process" the app for your case? Did you just fill in the whole app and push the submit app button and presto! it was immediately processed/ personal statements and all? In other words, would it be best to finish a few days before the 1st in order to allow processing time for usmle scores or the app in general? Any one got any insight!? thanks guys!

Waiting patiently to submit my application....still waiting for a couple of my LORs to get to my post office.

i haven't hit submit yet, going through the app once more this weekend...i'm not even sure if it's beneficial or if you can actually "submit" your application before Sept 1st

as of today, all 4 of my LORs are in, MSPE, photo, transcript. so i guess i'm all set, just have to figure out how i'm going to pay for all of this

How many programs are you guys going to apply to? I was thinking 100+ but not sure.

Also, i'm waiting on 1 LOR but am still going to apply on Sep 1. I'm going to go ahead and designate the letter and send it in with my application on sep 1st even though its not in ERAS just yet. Do you guys think its a good idea to apply to programs like this, or should I wait until my 3rd letter is in?

Concerning the MPSE; I thought that became available later on? Has the school completed them?

i'd apply and just update the programs when the LOR comes in

yeah i got my MSPE pretty early, i wasn't expecting it to come this early but programs can't download it anyway until November 1st so i wouldn't stress it

all apps are out, the waiting begins...

Question? When is the last day u can start rotations in order to finish on time and match for 2012? Will it be sept 2010 or october?

at least 50% of the programs i applied to have already downloaded my app
