Semester 1 books that are useful...

Could someone post a list of books that you find useful when starting Med 1. I know that Anatomy and Embryo are require but how about the BRS series? Is it necessary to get these books before coming to the island? I want to use my time off this summer to get familiarize with the books and be prepare as possible when i get to aua. Any help from you guys would be appreciated.

Hey IluvMD. The updated book list is on the AUA website.

I don't have enough posts to put the link on here but this is the navigation to get there:

AUA Website -> College of Medicine (top 1st tab) -> Current Students (top 2nd tab) -> Basic Science Component (left 1st option) -> Booklist (left 2nd option).

For Med 1, I used these books:
    Baby Moore-- Anatomy
    Langman's Embryo
    Ross Histo
I didn't use any BRS for the first semester.

"Essential Clinical Anatomy" is the baby moore. "Clinical Oriented Anatomy" is the "big" moore. Both are written by Keith Moore (among others).
