Is there new financing in works for AUA?
Proposed IFC Student Financing Program , June 1, 2009.

I had an interview for Jan 2010 on Wednesday and mentioned this loan program. The office wasn't aware of anything other than the two loan companies that are already in place.

Guys, I don't think this is a new loan provider per se...just a private entity that is going to guarantee our loans. By guaranteeing our loans, they are essentially becoming our "cosigners" and volunteering to take responsibility for our loans if we happen to default on our repayment obligations (not to say that defaulting wouldn't still adversely affect you bigtime). It's a good thing though, b/c this would make loan companies more likely to continue offering us loans, and we might even get more favorable terms out of the deal. This is great, especially w/ the current global economic climate (which doesn't seem to be improving despite the "efforts" of our almighty fearless leader in Washington).

sounds like the school is on the up and up.. but AUA still not recognized for federal funding from the US... curses... foiled again...

Maybe someone could answer that (Tipton). What has to happen to get federal funding and Title IV approved for loans ? Is that a possibility in the next 4 years ?

I actually heard that we're getting Cali approval next week and federal loans the following week.








Or maybe 10 years from now.

Nobody knows.

Have anyone talked to the FA office lately about this new program? When I called, they did not know what I was talking about.
