Thread: Recent Interview Questions

Hey everyone!
I was just wondering if the people who were recently admitted into AUA (Sept 08, Jan 09) are able to post interview questions they were asked in the interview. Just curious to know if they are similar to the ones that were used in the past couple years. Thanks!

Why would you be a good candidate for AUA?

Interview

Tell me about yourself.
Why did you want to go to AUA?
What did you do/learn from volunteering at the hospital?
Why you want to be a doctor? The wrong answer is 'because I want to help people'.
Why did you get __ (bad grade) in ________class(es)?

Also have some questions prepared to ask the interviewer, even if you already know the answer to it, and ask what your chances might be at the end.

I agree with StudentGirl! I do not think they asked me why I want to be a doctor though! Good to know the answer to that question anyway! Good luck!

I had a phone interview and he just pretty much looked through my application and asked me questions/concerns about it. For example, I have a time gap between undergrad and now, not too long, and I just explained that I was getting my Pilots License as a hobby before being locked into med school.

Its not that bad at all. More like a conversation.
