Thread: 2 quick questions..

So, I am still trying to decide where to go to med school and as for now my main choices seem to be the big 4 and AUA. I am applying for Fall of 09. Anyway, I am rather new to the AUA world and I had a couple of questions.

1) Can AUA grads practice in WI and WA?
2) How difficult is it to get loans for AUA?--Has anyone been accepted and been forced to turn down the acceptance due to not getting the funds?

I believe AUA graduates can practice everywhere in the US except California, Arkansas, and Kansas.

I believe they can, California however is a no, no ... but I believe AUA has yet to apply to be approved in California which is why they are not approved.

I met a couple of students from the "big 4" who transferred to AUA and had really nice things to say about AUA, compared to the schools they went to, so I feel like I made the right choice in coming here.

However, the loan situation was pretty ugly the first couple of weeks of class

AUA has applied for Cali but it's a long process and we are waiting to hear back...so who knows when that will be.

I am not sure but I read on Arkansas Board's website and they have AUA disapproved. I think I saw on California that AUA is neither disapproved or approved.

Arkansas requires schools be in existence for at least 15 years before they will approve a school.

I look forward to see what California has to day. The new campus should help out alot!
