Hi everybody,
I'm askdoc. some of you may already know. It is flattering to be "branded" as a USMLE genius

. All I really want is to help people do better in the USMLE. FutureDoc86, I hope you don't mind me posting in this thread.
I just want to inform everybody that I've updated my blog recently. I've finished Part III and Part IV of "What to study for the USMLE". I have also started 2 new series. "Preparing for the USMLE Step 2 CS" (Part I to III of possible 5 or 6 parts) which deals with Step 2 CS preparation and "Answering USMLE type Questions" (Part I of a 2 part series) dealing mainly with how to tackle tough USMLE type questions which is very different from the usual question type you encounter in examinations
Other new article is "Guide to Self Evaluation in USMLE prep" tackles a very common prep mistake committed by people which can affect their whole review process and is a frequent cause of poor or subpar performance in the USMLE even outright failure for some.
Lastly, High Yield Fast Fact is a course that covers thousands of high yield information in an online flashcard system using the Leitner method. One of the most effective method for memorizing large amounts of unrelated information like vocabulary, foreign languages etc. It covers the Rapid Review section of First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 plus over 100 additional high yield facts. It has a Buzzwords section that gives description for buzzwords. As we all know the USMLE does not use buzzwords and use descriptions instead. It has a 54 item set on Normal laboratory values. You don't have to memorize normal lab values, but doing so can save you time looking them up in the actual examination. Lastly, it has a high yield image section. Currently it has 30 items, including cherry-red macula, erythema chronicum migrans, etc. Additional items will be added to total 120 by end October and at least 300 high yield image by end of November. You can enroll free for 14 days if you sign up before October 19, 2008, 11:59 pm Pacific Standard time. You can go to my blog for details on how to enroll and where the site is. (my blog is a blog and cannot host online flashcard system

)
Again I would like to thank FutureDoc86 for introducing you to my blog site. I hope more people will be able to benefit and score higher in the USMLE
Sincerely
Askdoc
