People should know, Crime on the Island:

1. When you leave The Coast at 2-3am dont walk drunk through heritage quay

2. When you leave Rush drunk at 2-3am be cautious as you walk towards your car outside the main parking lot.

3. Use general good sense as you are living in a foreign country, anyone that has travelled or lived abroad should know what this means...

Antigua is no different than any other foreign country, I dont believe any moderator or member of this forum has tried to create an illusion of a perfect fantasy island where AUA exists.

Bottom line is that its a relatively good school on a relatively good island, im still content with my decision...Kick back, relax dude...

Amen to that. I've traveled this world from one end to the other and the island is no more / less safe than any other place I've visited. There are good / bad people here just like there are good / bad people in NYC. You just have to use common sense and your street smarts and you won't have a problem. It's all in what you make of it.

aua admin read this site but they would have no way of knowing who you are unless you reveal yourself on here. as for the previous incident you mention, i don't recall it but if anything, it was probably handled by myself and has nothing to do with AUA admin. if that was the case, i didn't report, edit or infract because it was about the school, i did so because it was against the Terms of Service that you actually agreed to before posting on this site.

that's the bottom line so you can run around telling this elaborate story about the AUA admin or whatever but it was most likely the moderators of this site dealing with your case just as we would any other violation on vmd. again as i said before, the only way AUA would know who you are is if you some how revealed yourself in some post by either your story or use of a name etc.

now that i have enlightened you on how vmd works (btw school officials have no real moderating or administrative power on this site) there should be no more confusion.

Why wouldnt a school use this site for their advantage? That is common sense and good business. Also, why wouldnt they monitor it? Ditto. However those of use who admin and mod the site are not in the pay of AUA or anyone for that matter. Its 100% volunteer. And privacy is taken VERY seriously here. The only time personal info of a user has or will be revealed to anyone else is if s/he repeatedly committs serious terms of use violations. In this case, their service provider (which may indeed be a school) may be notified but the user is informed first of this potentiality first and given the chance to comply. (which is a courtesy- its says so right on the terms of use and you are expected to know and abide by then when you sign up for an use is site). Identity is supplied to outside sources too if legally required to due to some issue like making threats towards another person. Both have happened here.

The level of conspiracy paranoia among folks never fails to amuse. sorry but the sky isnt falling at vmd. find your evil elsewhere.

what i want to know is why people even bother to write or talk about this retarded crap in the first place. dude80, why dont you shut up. talk about something more constructive. i am so sick of the complaining that goes on in forums world-wide with the intenet now-a-days. everyone is so tough so long as they are behind the monitor of a computer. i come to valuemd a lot for information. this site has been very helpful to me; however, there is more and more complaining going on with this website and it is really starting to aggrivate me. Stop talking crap.
