Also try to purchase your items w/ the Duty Free thing, otherwise you'll end up paying for taxes (which makes no sense since we don't live here). The only thing is that technically, AUA students are supposed to pay taxes as well and don't qualify for Duty Free, according to one of the salesperson at the store. They'll ask you if you are travelling....say yes. Then first try to get away with just showing them your US DL and telling them the date and flight number of departure flight. Now if they ask for more, then show them your passport but tell them that you don't have your flight itinerary. The reason being is that they'll see that your return flight to the US isn't for another couple of months or so. If they see that, then they'll tell you that you don't qualify for Duty Free and will charge you the taxes which is like 15% or so. It's not much...but it does add up, plus as visitors, I don't feel that we should have to contribute to the gov't taxes here. There's also two familiar stores from back home as well...The Body Shop and Sunglass Hut. Both are also located up in Heritage Quay. Happy shopping....

"FYI" for all you ladies, lets make sure you pick up some extra strength deodorant. You can find them in the epicurean or even woods pharmacy, Thanks!

Yeh, did he tell you the Mary story? Well Little Mary came to classes with beat-up shoes, uncombed hair, and shirts with holes. And her mother would say, Mary! Mary! Fix yourself, Mary! And she would say, nooo mom, Im in MED SCHOOL.

wouldn't it just be better to get a perfume from home? I'm sure you'd rarely use it in med school anyways.
