If AUA gets CA approval, will the students already at AUA be elgible to practice in CA? or does it only affect the new incoming students?

CA did the Saba site visit in May 2004 and gave approval on 5 Nov 04. They gave retroactive approval for coursework commencing on / after 1 Jan 02.

you just have to be reasonable, this topic has been discussed 8764874638476 times since i first started coming on to VMD. it's a long process, requiring many evaluations, site visits, paperwork etc etc and AUA is still at the very beginning of this process.
when i started my first semester, it was announced that AUA hired a very good lobbyist to begin it's quest. i'm not sure how that turned out or if that person is still around. the last i heard, the professors were filling out self-evaluation forms, which i believe are similar to the ones that CA posts on their website. again, this is very early on in the application process and i haven't heard anything since.
it's great to hope, but don't get your hopes up. sure, i'd love AUA to get CA approval which will really bridge the way for it's future but i'm not at all expecting it to happen while i'm still here, nor will it be retroactive for me if they do receive it. this is a choice i made before coming here, knowing that i will probably never practice in CA or any other state that uses the Cali list.
