Will AUA admit, without Physics. I would much rather take an anatomy or BioChem? Thoughts?

517 points In some cases AUA might take like Cell Bio instead of Bio II but there's really nothing like physics that you can take that's NOT physics
so the answer is: nope
514 points Interesting b/c St.Mat's and MUA recommend it. Its not that I protest the class its just I would rather do Cell Bio, Anatomy or BioChem. Plus my math skills are less than stellar.
510 points AUA has really been strict on pre-reqs. It is easier to take the classes then to have to take them later.
517 points Well i think being able to conceptualize things with the kind of framework you gain by taking a physics course is definitely helpful. it helps me in anatomy and other stuff, like seeing if a tendon is inserting on this part of the bone it will give the limb this kind of rotation or whatever. plus, it's just one course!
510 points i think there is a reason behind all pre-requisites when you apply- its required for licensure by medical boards
510 points Just take the class dude. Physics is interesting anyways. What if you decide to take the MCAT? Don't worry, it's alot easier than calculus. Actually, while your at it, take cell bio, biochem, and anatomy as well. They will give you some prep for med 1 and 2. Cool, hope this helps

687 points solid background in physics and math makes physiology a breeze
I hardly doubt they will take u w/out physics as they are really strict on pre-reqs and i know some people who were transfered into pre-med 4 from med 1 when they started cuz they had a C or lower C in pre-req class or didn't have one or 2 pre-reqs.....so i doubt they will accept u with out it....and physics is actually quite useful in phsio and stuff...it' will definitely be helpful to take tha class
514 points So 2 semesters of it than?
