Since I'll be getting student housing, I thought I would tough it out for a while with the bus service. If that ends up being as brutal as it potentially could be, then I'll look into renting a car. I'd like to get away with being able to use the public transit, but patience is not a virtue I have.

I would think that you would have learned some patience with Charlie Weis on your sideline this past year ;o)

Seriously though, I've heard that the school transportation is reliable. Might not be a bad idea to feel it out for a semester, then again, the wife is going to want to have wheels so I'm going to have to continue to research it. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Green - instead of patience I learned the depths of depression one can go through - but I guess its better than a Buckeye fan - who is now a fan of the Buffalo Bills of college football - I wonder if we'll see kids in Antigua with Ohio State national champions shirts??? You know they print'em - where do the losing teams shirts go?

Bourne Gal, congrats! You're from Canada? What part? Have you applied for your loan yet?

Irish, that would be awesome to see those OSU shirts on the island. I do remember a shop in Detroit that used to sell the printed ones that were never used, including the Buffalo Bill Superbowl champoinship shirts, but they were actually pretty pricey, collector's items? I wish I could get my hands on a Michigan State Champs Sports Bowl Championship T...

ay04, I've heard stats that cover a wide range. Some people don't even take the MCAT. I myself did and had just an ok score as well as an average GPA from undergrad. I've been working in and around healthcare though for close to 10 years and got my ** in 2002 so I had good experience and letters of recomendation. I don't believe they focus on just one thing. You should go for it.

Thumbs up Interview scheduled....hooray!

Hey,

I hope to join this list come in a few weeks since I have my interview scheduled on Monday Jan 28 with Ms. M**** M***********. If any had an interview with her, specifically, would you mind sharing?

I'm scouring the forums for questions and taking the rest of the week to prepare. I'll keep you guys and gals updated on how it went and post what questions I got.

Peace!

I talked with M.M. at a informational seminar. She seemed pretty nice and has helped me at out with some housing information. Your best bet is to just be honest and try not to be too nervous. They have all of your info and will walk through it asking questions. You should be fine. Just look through the links here about interview questions. There was nothing out of the blue from what has been discussed on this forum. Good luck!

emrbu8, I didn't interview with her but the guy that I spoke with pretty much went off of everything that was in my application. He asked several questions about my job and experience, nothing that you could really prepare that much for but easy to answer as long as you were telling the truth in your application! He did ask a few grade questions; "I see that you got a C in this class, mind telling me what happened?, etc". Again, I just answered with brutal honesty and did fine. The gave me a slot within a week.

Are you interviewing in person or over the phone? Not sure where you're from but they offered to interview me over the phone and I asked if I could come down to the office in Manhattan (I'm from Boston). I'd like to think that they were impressed by that on some level. It was a long day in the car but well worth it. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Applying for May 2008

I am applying for may 2008. Do you know how many students are comming in from the US and plan on returning here to practice? I have heard that it is quite difficult to do. Any thoughts on this would be welcome. Thanks.
