Does it matter if you're wearing a lab coat on campus in the lab though? I only ask because I have a ton of them and they're all long!
Depends on how strictly they enforce it, but it makes sense to invest in two short white coats because you'll be spending some time at Holberton Hospital while you're on the island and you can't wear long coats there.

At BUSM they also start every year off with a 'white coat ceremony' wear the school presents them their short coats. Does AUA do anything like that or is our white coat ceremony buying your own at the book store?
AUA's white coat ceremony is when you complete fourth semester. Usually what happens is that you give them the coat you've been wearing for the previous four semesters and they put it on you and take a picture.

White coat

If you are a transfer in the 2nd or 3rd semester when can you order your white coat?

You can order it whenever you'd like...and the AUA bookstore has them too if you don't have time to order them...

financial aid

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum. I have been accepted into the class of Fall 2008. I am trying to get my loans to attend. I would like to ask for help and what is needed to apply. I am looking at applying without a co-signer. I saw that we should use the sister school. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

you have awhile before you need to worry about FA. if you want to start, make sure your credit score isn't below 675 and you have no delinquencies, past bankruptcies...CLC is much more strict about your credit than SLX ever was.

other than that, just wait around until FA sends you the packet and jump on it when you receive it.

Thank you. It is a little scary. I didn't know if I should wait or delay my seat payment. This is a big move for me.

I'm in for Fall too but Financial Aid is constantly on my mind for some reason. I don't have the worlds greatest credit score (it was in the high 600s until end of last year when I lost my job and got behind on some bills). sigh. I go back and forth about deferring until January 09 but I don't know.

If I send the housing deposit in for Fall and later decide to defer to Jan is that still valid or do I just lose that money? I sent my seat deposit in already but I'm kind of weary about sending $750 in when I'm not sure I'm going to qualify for a loan for Fall. Of course I haven't received my FA packet yet so these are all what if questions but I'm a realist I know I need a miracle to work on my credit report before July to have a prayer with these lenders.
